Over a year old now, but who cares- it's still an amazing catalogue of ideas, research and ways of approaching architecture- and it will be a useful reference to dip in and out of for years to come. Thank you R+U.
I was bought this book for my birthday. I've been a fan of Paul Auster for a while, and have known he has been influenced in his books by the life and work of the artist Sophie Calle. This book is about Sophie Calle's art project in which she adopts the behaviours and ideas of one of Paul Auster's characters, a character he had constructed on the work and behaviour or Sophie Calle. Double Game. I love this stuff.
When Hell burnt in a fire, Jake and Dinos remade it bigger and better. It has been on exhibition at Mason's Yard this summer. Intensely captivating, massively ambitious, rigorously and intricately detailed, perfectly executed, and witty. It is one of my highlights of 2008.
