BBC 1 has brought back classic Saturday night TV! Straight out of the 1970's, Total Wipeout challenges the hopelessly ambitious contestants to throw themselves around an impossible to complete assault course and pit their wits against dizziness, water chutes, and spinning machinery. Think "Its a Knockout" mixed with those crazy Japanese gameshows and you're half way there. Frivolous, slapstick, playful, and totally unnecessary. Well done BBC.
